Swimming - we were lucky enough to have six swimming lessons at the Papatoetoe Pools. We enjoyed learning how to float, being brave enough to put our head under the water to collect toys from the bottom, and do proper swimming strokes like freestyle.

Yesterday, we had our Duffy Books assembly. We heard from two role models - Taylah Hodson-Tomokino and Matt Johnson. Taylah is a former BMX and rugby sevens champion who is now juggling studying law with working at Sky Sport. Matt has played rugby league for the Melbourne Storm and is currently contracted to the Auckland Blues. They were very inspiring and talked about how reading has helped them throughout their lives. After the assembly we were given our two books each - and we were very excited!
